Successful first training course of the QA4VET project in Bucharest
From 15 to 19 September 2025, the first five-day training seminar for the Armenian partners of the Erasmus+ project “QA4VET – Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training” took place in Bucharest. The Romanian hosts from the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education (ARACIP) and involas were jointly responsible for the content design and moderation of the event.
Using their own institution as an example, ARACIP demonstrated how external quality assurance in vocational education and training is implemented in the EU through the accreditation of institutions and programmes. involas presented different approaches and instruments for internal quality assurance in vocational education and training institutions.
Input based on identified needs
The training course was based on extensive training materials developed by ARACIP and involas after the kick-off event in March 2025, on the basis of the training needs identified among the Armenian participants. In addition to the Romanian hosts and the two speakers from involas, 14 Armenian VET experts took part in person, while around 20 additional teachers, trainers and managers from several Armenian vocational schools joined the hybrid event online.
Two further training events are planned for 2026, to be held at involas in Offenbach. These will focus in particular on the growing importance of digitalisation and green technologies in vocational education and training, and on how these new developments can be taken into account in quality assurance.
The QA4VET project supports the improvement of quality assurance in the Armenian VET system through the development and testing of mock accreditations tailored to national needs and aligned with European standards. The project has a strong focus on green and digital transformation and combines an analysis of European quality assurance practices with targeted capacity building for Armenian VET staff. QA4VET is funded by the European Commission as part of Erasmus+.
