Social cohesion
Societies and social cohesion face new challenges resulting from dynamic global changes and trends like digitalization, decarbonization, demographic change, the COVID-19 pandemic, various crises, conflicts, as well as forced displacement and migration. Securing and enhancing equal opportunities, participation of individuals (e.g. access to education & training and gainful employment) and trust in political institutions are becoming more and more important.
In addition to contributing to better perspectives for individuals through vocational education & training and labor market integration, we focus on strengthening social cohesion. Towards this end, we advise and involve stakeholders from civil society, such as civic engagement and volunteerism, foundations, migrant organizations, and associations. We also do projects towards promoting democracy, preventing extremism, and empowering youths.
