involas is proud to announce the completion of its part for the project „Anchoring cooperation mechanisms in the Kyrgyz vocational education and training system and improving labour market instruments”. involas was contracted by GIZ to implement 3 work packages and support the project with a pool of short-term expert with the aim to improve the governance of selected areas of labour market policy of the Ministry of Labour. The implemented work packages concentrated on the legal anchoring of independent certification of professional competences (ICPC), coordination and cooperation mechanisms in the field of ICPC and the development of financing models for ICPC. We are proud to announce that independent certification for  graduates of educational institutions of primary (initial) vocational education and persons with relevant knowledge and skills (recognition of prior learning (RPL) candidates) is anchored in the education law of Kyrgyzstan and that all required decrees and regulations to implement this certification have been drafted in close collaboration with stakeholders by the project. Moreover, the project supported the stakeholders in facilitating the development of occupational standards and the development of assessment items for sample occupations as well as assessment and RPL guidelines.
